Hi! I’m Yannis

 
 

I am a French-Moroccan designer with a humanities and video games background. With one bachelor in literature/political sciences, another one in Game and Level design, and a Master in Game design at the ENJMIN of Angoulême, I have now been working in the game industry for 5 years at Ubisoft Paris and HQ.

I mainly worked as Level designer and product owner on the “Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope” project (+ DLCs), and also occupied functions of Worldbuilding Advisor for productions at the Ubisoft HQ. In 2023, I broadened my expertise to also encompass Game design in my practice as I joined an innovation and development unit inside Ubisoft Paris.

My main focus is to weave space and systems in order to create meaningful and rich experiences. Using my skills and experience, I aim toward crafting coherent and carefully designed spatial and narrative storytelling, enriched by translating my knowledge in Humanities and vivid interest on myths, religions, geopolitic and literature into media production in order to build coherent and compelling fictional universes.
